You probably like many people use your phone a lot in the evening. But all that bright light can really mess with your sleep cycle. Google has heard our cries for help and has released a new Digital Wellbeing Android update that will make your phone less blinding at night. In this blog post, we’ll tell you all about it!
The new update will change the color of your phone’s display to a warmer hue at night, making it easier on your eyes. It will also dim the brightness of your screen so you’re not blinded by its light. And if you have an OLED display, the update will even turn off pixels that aren’t being used, saving battery life of your Android smartphone in the process.
How to Get un Update?
To get the update, all you need to do is download the latest version of Digital Wellbeing from the Google Play Store. Once it’s installed, open the app and go to Settings > Display > Night Light. From there, you can enable the feature and schedule it to turn on and off automatically based on your desired hours.
What About iPhone?
If you have an iPhone, there’s no need to feel left out – Apple released a similar feature called Night Shift back in 2016. And like Android 13’s Digital Wellbeing update, Night Shift also makes your display warmer at night and dims the brightness to reduce eye strain. To get started with Night Shift, go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Night Shift. From there, you can schedule it to turn on and off automatically or manually toggle it on and off as needed. So there you have it – two ways to help you get a better night’s sleep.
