Spotlight is a search feature that allows you to find files, folders, applications, and more on your Mac. It’s insanely fast and very accurate. We use it all the time to find things that one would otherwise never be able to locate.
Finder
The Finder is the default file manager on a Mac. It’s similar to Windows Explorer, but it’s much more powerful and customizable. We’ve found it to be a huge time saver.
Holding Down Keys for Accents
This is a great feature for those who need to use accented characters frequently. On Windows, holding down a key simply repeats the character. On Mac, however, holding down a key brings up a menu of accented characters to choose from. This makes it much easier to type in languages that use accents.
